Victoria Docks Blasts: The Explosions That Built India’s Commercial Capital

On this day, 74 years ago, Mumbai witnessed one of its darkest days. A blast aboard the British cargo ship, Fort Stikine, left the docks in ruins. Mumbai’s busiest commercial district, Nariman Point, is built on the debris of that incident.
