For our hardworking interviewers at Arré, 2017 was the year they were left uninvited by Bollywood’s show stealers.
For us at Arré, 2017 was the year we were left uninvited. Konkona Sensharma, Huma Qureshi, Vikrant Massey, and Shashank Arora, got the chance to snub our interviewer, who was intent on asking burning questions. But we aren’t people who give up easily. So like true warriors, we keep breaking into houses of celebrities and annoying them until they agree to talk to us. We do it only for you guys.
When We Guessed Konkona Sensharma’s Favourite Author
Back in June, we cornered Konkona Sensharma into chatting with us about books, life and her directorial debut, A Death in The Gunj. We also learnt that she’s really bad at jokes.
When Vikrant Massey Dedicated a Song To Pahlaj Nihalani
In July, before Alankrita Srivastava’s Lipstick Under My Burkha released in theatres, triumphing over the sanskar filled beliefs of ex-CBFC Chief Pahlaj Nihalani, we met Vikrant Massey and Shashank Arora aka the #MenForLipstick and came back satisfied with their nationalistic quotient.
When We Broke into Huma Qureshi’s House without “Permissun”
In August, we saw the talented Huma Qureshi in Gurinder Chadha’s period drama, Partition: 1947, but before that, our interviewer broke into her house without “permissun” to quiz her on India, Pakistan and more. Safe to say, we’ve learnt our lesson: She does know her history.
