As most of the country continues to stay under lockdown restrictions, a trailer for a new episode of Bear Grylls’ “Into the Wild” featuring Akshay Kumar was released on Monday, giving us rather unique travel goals.

Following in the footsteps of none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and superstar actor Rajinikanth, actor Akshay Kumar announced on Instagram that he would be the next guest on the survival show a couple of weeks ago.

On Monday, the trailer of the episode shows the duo taking part in a number of challenging tasks, including a monkey crawl across a crocodile-infested river, and death-defying stunts involving a truck. In his Twitter post, Kumar also revealed that the survivalist also “completely surprised” him by making him drink elephant poop tea.

The “Khiladi” Akshay Kumar is, of course, known for having started learning martial arts at the age of nine, has a black belt in Taekwondo, and is a certified Muay Thai trainer. Kumar also performs his own stunts in most films, as well as during his time as the host of reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi.

In the show’s trailer, however, Akshay calls himself a “reel” hero and Bear Grylls, the real hero. “I have always admired Bear Grylls for his energy, passion and what he has stood for all these years. It was a humbling experience being with him in the wild,” the actor was quoted as saying in an interview. “It is different out there, as compared to movie sets, as there is no back-up — that sense of realism is very overpowering.”

Grylls also had a few good words to share about Kumar, whose eyes, he said, lit up with the mention of a challenge. “What struck me the most during our time together, was his humility, his easy approach. Lots of commonalities between the two of us — including passion towards fitness, dedication to family et al, I really enjoyed being with him…” the survivalist said.

Kumar is the third Indian celebrity to appear on Bear Grylls’ survival show. The episode featuring Prime Minister Modi went on to break records in the infotainment genre, while the episode with Rajinikanth was the second-highest rated show in the genre. So clearly, fans will be waiting in anticipation for this episode, which will release on September 14.
