F<\/span>or fans of crime shows, especially those involving convoluted investigations that keep the viewers on their toes, Amazon Prime Video\u2019s latest original series, Breathe: Into the Shadows<\/em>, is a treat to watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The story follows Delhi-based psychiatrist Avinash (Abhishek Bachchan), and chef Abha, (Nitya Menen), who are on the lookout for any clues that\u2019ll help them find their daughter, who has been kidnapped. To get the young Siya back, the couple must also deal with a masked maniac, who manipulates them every step along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apart from that, there\u2019s also a storyline involving inspector Kabir (Amit Sadh) that\u2019ll delight the budding detective in the audience. The inspector has been tasked with piecing together another set of clues in order to solve a series of murders that have a common thread running through them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the 12 episodes that follow, the plot takes enough twists and turns to leave the jaws gaping of even the most discerning viewers. But the writers have also been gracious enough to drop a few clues in the process, so we can follow the investigation, and figure out the various characters\u2019 backstories for ourselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In case you\u2019re planning to stream Breathe: Into the Shadows<\/em>, here\u2019s some things you should look out for. If you\u2019re sharp enough, you may be able to crack the case, and the various character\u2019s motivations, alongside the exemplary Inspector Kabir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Ballpoint Pen<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Breathe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone who fancies themselves as a detective, must have a keen eye for detail. Still, spotting an innocuous pen \u2014 or lack thereof \u2014 in a shaky video takes some Sherlock Holmes levels of observation. In Breathe: Into the Shadows<\/em>, one ballpoint has the potential to reveal much more than is initially apparent, especially for a police force that has no other clues to fall back on. See if you can spot it before inspector Kabir does.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lip Gloss<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Breathe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How often would you notice something as everyday as a character putting on lip gloss, especially when the tension is already at its climax, and there\u2019s at least three stories to keep up with at the time? Going a step further, how long would it take for you to notice and remember the name of that particular brand of gloss? Not too often, we\u2019re guessing. But in the show, this small innocuous nearly leads to a character\u2019s undoing. It\u2019s just the writers, once again reminding you to look out for the not-so-obvious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Dialogue<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All through the season, the characters drop subtle clues in the dialogue that hint at a number of following plot twists, as well as give you an idea of what each seemingly random act of violence is building up to. One such moment is when chef Nitya Menen points out to her husband that the kidnapper is manipulating them with \u201cmind-games\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While it may seem like a throwaway statement, at first, and one to be expected of someone who\u2019s negotiating with a kidnapper, there\u2019s a lot more meaning to that phrase than you\u2019d initially surmise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Photograph<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Breathe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There\u2019s a lot you can tell from a photograph, considering it \u2014 as the saying goes \u2014 speaks a thousand words. An image that\u2019s flashed on screen, early on in the season, is proof that this statement rings true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The picture, which shows a young girl with a relative on holiday has the potential of connecting an otherwise random series of murders, as well as revealing key plot points. That is, provided you can see beyond the obvious, of course…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Limp<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Breathe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How often do you notice if someone\u2019s limping? Unless it\u2019s someone you see every day chances are things like that don\u2019t usually catch your attention. But it\u2019s one character\u2019s peculiar limp, and the backstory associated with it, that has investigating officers and the audience guessing through the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the end of the show, however \u2014 once footprints have been examined at various crime scenes, and an expert doctor weighs in \u2014 it soon becomes evident how important minor details like that actually are, especially during a high-profile police investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, when watching the show, there are dozens of other clues that you can pick up on, which will probably help you crack the case even sooner. But if you notice any of these, chances are that there\u2019s an alternate career waiting for you out there.
