Earlier this month, celebrity couple Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan had offered their four-storey office space to the BMC to be converted into a quarantine centre. Gauri Khan gave us an inside look of this now fully functional quarantine centre on her Instagram feed.
The coronavirus pandemic has affected a number of industries, and Bollywood is no exception. Left with nowhere to go, celebrities have been doing as much as they can to help — by creating music videos urging solidarity, as well as making large donations to help out the less fortunate sections of our society.
This month, more proof of this trend emerged, after celebrity couple Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan offered a video of a four-storey office space to the BMC to be converted into a quarantine centre.
On Thursday, interior designer Gauri Khan gave us an inside look of this now fully functional quarantine centre on her Instagram feed.

The private office was transformed into a quarantine zone with the aid of the Meer Foundation, a non-profit founded by Shah Rukh Khan, that rehabilitates acid attack survivors. It will also provide essentials and services to those who need it most. The facility currently has 22 beds.
This isn’t the first contribution to come from Bollywood’s first family — SRK has made headlines over the last month for his generosity. His IPL team, the Kolkata Knight Riders, has committed a large donation to the PM Cares fund, while his film production house, Red Chillies Entertainment, has contributed to Maharashtra’s relief fund.
The actor has also pledged to provide a certain amount of Personal Protective Equipment for healthcare workers in both Maharashtra and West Bengal.
Earlier, the actor was a part of the Global Citizen and UN’s live online concert, “One World: Together at Home”, along with international artists and celebrities like Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez, to name just a few.

A few days ago, the actor also hosted a mini AMA (ask me anything) for his fans on Twitter, under the hashtag “AskSRK”, in which he was at his wittiest.
Ok it’s a good idea. Let’s do #AskSRK but not too long please because I have to go and do….nothing…for a bit before I do some more of it later. Let’s begin…please use the hashtag.

As we enter yet another phase of uncertainty over the coronavirus pandemic, it’s clear that SRK is among dozens of celebrities who are doing their best to keep spirits raised, as well as putting their money where their mouth is. We’re sure once this is all over, these gestures will be remembered fondly.
