With the British Prime Minister, Health Minister, the Queen, and the Prince of Wales all in isolation, two key decision-making ministers in the cabinet right now are Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak, and Home Minister Priti Patel. Social media had a field day with the fact that two Indian-origin ministers are now in charge of Britain.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson took to social media to announce that he has tested positive for coronavirus with mild symptoms. Health Minister Matt Hancock is another high profile minister from the government who has been tested positive.
Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.
I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus.
Together we will beat this. #StayHomeSaveLives pic.twitter.com/9Te6aFP0Ri

A few days back, Prince Charles, first in line to the British throne had also tested positive with mild symptoms, and had to go into self isolation.

Queen Elizabeth has also had to practise social distancing, leaving the Buckingham Palace for Windsor Castle to spend time in self isolation.
It looks like Queen Elizabeth's self-isolation plan involves a castle and horseback ridinghttps://t.co/HzIrJ92diP

Well, it could be The Chancellor Of Exchequer (India born, Rushi Sunak) or The Home Sectetary, Priti Patel!

While the jokes are meant on a lighter note, one wishes speedy recovery for Prime Minister Johnson and members of the Royal Family. India and Britain will need to assist each other to tackle the coronavirus pandemic that has gripped the world. As we take pride in the success of British citizens of Indian-origin, we might as well pay heed to the advice they have to offer.
